Rachel and I were toying around with getting married before Prop 8 passed but she decided against it. She said she wasn't ready. So we missed the window of opportunity to get married in CA.
We were personally very disappointed with the outcome of Prop 8. We worked our fingers to the bone on the No on 8 campaign. We stood in the pouring and freezing rain holding signs, did outreach at CSUEB, Chabot, and the Farmer's Market, and even donated money. So when we lost we both cried in each other's arms. It is a really crushing blow to us after winning that recognition of being allowed to marry..to have it stripped away unjustly was almost unbearable. We have hope that the CA Supreme Court will agree with us and vote to strike Prop 8 down.
